UNDP Global Accelerator LabIn many destinations, tourism tends to be “all inclusive”: tourists pay an
international tour operator, which captures most of the profit before it
reaches the destination countries. Many hotels are themselves owned by
multinational chains. The UNDP Accelerator Labs are working on connecting and
structuring local businesses so that they can compete with these operators,
keeping a larger part of the value in the destination country.
